Dog Training Details

Location - Kelowna Start Time 12 noon sharp, September 22nd, 2023. Accommodations not included, corporate rate available at Accent Inn, 1140 Harvey Ave, Kelowna. Cost $280, plus 5% tax (total $294), per person, hotel, food not included. Car pool suggested for travel. MANDATORY 1/2 Prep day in Vancouver TBA We will visit a couple dog friendly breweries, coffee shops and have breakfast at my favourite restaurant, Soul de Cuba. Space is limited for this exciting educational workshop, first come first serve to secure your spot. If time permits, I will introduce you to coyote training. Mandatory equipment: Bear Spray Leash Martingale Collar Water Bowl Dog Snack Person Snack Phone Day pack, not backpack Foot wear with tread Flash light Suggested items to bring: Binoculars Hat Camera **Nylon clothing not permitted The workshop is designed with safety as priority for a person and dog when they venture into the woods. Bears can be found in local neighbourhoods, local trails and deep in the forest. Are you prepared and do you know what you need to do to keep fido and yourself safe? Do you know what to do when you encounter a bear from a distance or within close proximity? Bear Spray is known by many, do you know how to use bear spray? Do you know when to use Bear Spray? Do you know what to do when you and your dog feel the effects of bear spray? Dog and people safety is important, in the course you will learn how to read bear scat, assess age of the scat, learn how to spot a bear trail, learn about tracks and much more. Our dogs are important to us and they need to learn how to be safe as well. During the course you will learn how to move as one unit with your dog, quietly and non threatening. Please note that we reserve the right to remove any person or dog who are not following instructions and potentially placing the group in danger.
